Our Coffee, the Honest Way — Featuring Trump & Timbal Coffee

We’ve partnered with Trump & Timbal Coffee, a Cape Town-based roastery that shares our passion for thoughtfully sourced, beautifully roasted coffee. Their small-batch roasting brings out the natural complexity in every bean, creating coffees that are bold, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

Trump & Timbal developed our Honest Chocolate Café Blend specifically for us — with one goal: to create a deeply chocolatey espresso that pairs beautifully with the sweet, rich flavours we’re known for. Whether you’re enjoying a pour-over, a flat white, or an iced coffee by the sea, this is coffee made to be savoured.

What’s In the Blend?

Our custom espresso blend brings together three carefully selected beans:

• Brazilian Peaberry Arabica – full-bodied, with nutty sweetness and warm chocolate tones.
  
• High-Altitude Malawi Arabica – adds bright acidity, with notes of toffee, caramel, and a delicate tea-like finish.
  
• Single-Estate Ugandan Robusta – bold and earthy, it adds a thick crema and nostalgic flavours of chocolate malt, caramel popcorn, and roasted peanut brittle — especially delicious in milk-based drinks.

The result is a well-rounded, chocolate-forward espresso with layers of flavour: dark chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts, and a smooth, lingering finish. Black coffee drinkers will appreciate the clean complexity, while milk drinkers will love how the blend softens into something rich and comforting.

Just like our chocolate, our coffee is made with care — from farm to cup. All beans are ethically sourced, shade-grown, and specialty grade, scoring 80+ on the SCAA scale. We work with importers and farmers who prioritise sustainability, biodiversity, and fair practices.
